Staff Biographies
Dawn Hammacott, Program Director
Dawn is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. She has extensive restaurant management and culinary experience, particularly in Baking and Pastry Arts. Shortly after graduating she opened a bakery/café in downtown New Milford,Ct. which she sold after 13 successful years in business. This allowed her to pursue the development of the Community Culinary School of Northwestern, Ct. a project which she long had an interest in. She has been involved with the program development form the beginning and volunteered her time to get the program off the ground. Her duties include administrative responsibilities, classroom instruction and catering coordination.
Blythe Roberts, Chef Instructor
Blythe is a graduate of the French Culinary Institute in New York City. He grew up working in his family-owned catering business. His professional life has been spent in food service where he has acquired extensive culinary and kitchen management experience in restaurants, catering houses and institutions making him particularly well suited for the position of chef/instructor. His duties include class instruction, kitchen management, and catering supervision.
